Nuts and seeds are definitely my favorite superfood. And almonds are my favorite nut! Here are just few reasons why:

In fact, almonds are one of the most nourishing nuts available in the market today! In addition to protecting and repairing your skin, they improve its complexion.

The best Way to Eat Almonds
First and foremost, almonds should always be raw (not roasted and unsalted) If possible, organic is a plus. I prefer to soak my almonds. This helps my body to digest and absorb the nutrients better. To soak almonds, I just put a handful in small bowl, cover with purified water and leave on the kitchen counter over night. In the morning, I drain and rinse the almonds, eat some and store the rest in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
I also add chopped almonds to my yogurt and salads. Oh, and I love to use almond butter whenever possible. I add it to my smoothies, spread it over toast, or eat it with apple slices. And, since I am dairy free, I add almond milk to my morning coffee. Here is the recipe for awesome home made almond milk.
Without almonds in the diet, my skin can become flaky, dry and easily irritated. But regular consumption combined with external application of almond oil does wonders for my skin. Try them, and I do hope you experience the same wonderful benefits as I do!
